Practice Unconditional Love 
1. Love is not how you feel, it is more about how you act.
2. Adapt your love to others.
3. Give unconditionally to yourself.
4. Love can sometimes be uncomfortable.
5. Learn forgiveness.
6. Show love to those whom you think don’t deserve it.
7. Practice unconditional love with a simple act every day.

Details on Practicing Unconditional Love:

1. Love is not how you feel, it is more about how you act.

Try to think of love in this way and you won’t go far wrong. If you treat love as a feeling, when you are getting something from someone else and then you stop getting it then your feelings will change along with your behavior. An example of this is when you try to be someone you aren’t, or perhaps you have to do something in order to receive love: these then make love conditional.

However, if you start to act a certain way and are not requiring someone else to be something they are not, then that love is unconditional. Your love is not based on what someone else does or says, which means you can continue to act the same way regardless of how other people behave.

2. Adapt your love to others.

Love is received and given to others in many different forms and, unfortunately, there is not a ‘one size fits all’ philosophy.

Unconditional love is a conscious decision you make every day and in every new situation that comes along. There are no rules laid out for everyone, you apply it person by person.

3. Give unconditionally to yourself.

If you are a people pleaser, which many of us tend to be, you’ll be more interested in giving love to others rather than to yourself.

The love you give to others will not be unconditional, because you’ll be allowing how they make you feel rule how much love you want to return to them. This is not unconditional.

However, if you are constantly pleasing others you are lacking self-love. So give yourself unconditional love first, and the rest will come.

4. Love can sometimes be uncomfortable.

To truly love someone, you have to be able to take the rough with the smooth, and in this instance trying to protect someone from being uncomfortable is not a sign of unconditional love.

Pain and growth are part of life and shielding them from this is not love—if you only set out to make them feel satisfied and happy all the time you will do more harm than good!

Unconditional love requires you to let them experience pain so that they will find their own way and grow at their own pace.

5. Learn forgiveness.

This isn’t about allowing someone to wipe their feet all over you; it’s about choosing to react in a better way, a kinder way for yourself.

If someone has hurt you or let you down, choose forgiveness by letting go of the anger and resentment you have towards them. How you act towards a specific person will change depending on what has happened, but if you choose to act lovingly and not hold on to negative feelings, you will love them unconditionally.

6. Show love to those whom you think don’t deserve it.

Normally when someone else is negative towards you or about you, it’s likely that these people lack something in their own life that prevent them from truly loving themselves. If you see this before you react, and put yourself in their shoes, it can help you in the situation because you know deep inside it is more to do with them than with you. It’s here where you decide to give unconditional love and give it more frequently.

Being this way will provide a good pay off for the toxic people around you, but most importantly, for you, too.

7. Practice unconditional love with a simple act every day.

Try to do this at least once a day: give something and not be wanting anything in return. It can be letting someone through a door first, giving way to another car in a traffic jam, or telling someone you love them without expecting to hear it back in return.

God is not going to magically fix all our problems. He has empowered us to do it ourselves.

Thoughts that occur after reading... Robert Jeffress, who serves on President Trump's Evangelical Advisory Board and the White House Faith Initiative, had words for young climate activist Greta Thunberg. "Somebody needs to read poor Greta Genesis, Chapter 9," Jeffress said, "and tell her the next time she worries about global warming, just look at a rainbow. That's God's promise that the polar ice caps aren't going to melt and flood the world again."verbiage of the far right.


Christians have become a cult

I want to create a new religion. Christina for Christ whole love the planet. Start doing biblical quotes.

Part of on going effort to steal back  Jesus, etc.

Examples of words and ideas I want to reclaim:

"Right to life"  Meaning...right for each of us to have a life unburdened by the beliefs of others. Particularly laws imposing religious based beliefs. especially those biased against labeled minority. All people have the right to their best life possible. There is no justification for taking a life or impinging on the rights of others. Your rights end where mine begin. No war, no capital punishment. Unborn children are a medical matter with no legal jurisdiction other than ethical practices by physicians and patients. Abortions are horrible and should be avoided. We should all support efforts to reduce the need for them and focus on all children being born or adopted into a loving home.

Random Thoughts:Radical feminists have gone too far

Culture Wars

The Tag: Radical feminists have gone too far.

Caution: Commenting before reading this may result in miscommunication.

Well, the title seems to be self evident, likely a poor logical foundation for my argument. The only way to argue against the title, is to debate the meanings of the terms; Not useful. I believe many feminist have thrown the baby out with the bathwater by defining alpha-males as toxic. First, they brought us to where we are. Consider the alternative. 2. While being bashed in the news they make Hollywood and politicians rich. They are worshiped in the gaming community. Third, the archetype of the alpha-male has been digitally represented as a god, maybe a supreme god, like Zeus (an asshole to be sure). I am not sure, but I think you could easily argue that he was a rapist, a zoophile and a pedophile, all while being bisexual.

We need high functioning alpha-males as leaders. Not exclusively, not with ultimate power. We need them as warriors. Not killers. Warriors for fighting the good fight. Doing what we know to be right. Making sacrifices for the betterment of all. Heroes.

How do we know what is right? What to fight for? We have lost our way. The answer my little polliwog, is to use the other side of your brain, endeavor to understand women, engage with any woman who has the patience and ability to translate her truths into a language you can understand.

The rational mind is like the ego. A fabulous soldier, but a disastrous leader. The alpha-males need to be loved, supported and highly valued. They need well defined, not restrictive, rolls in our society. They need to be rewarded.

At the same time, we have way too many, as in more-than-one, ego driven maladapted maleish (e.g., may not have a dick) assholes in control. They need to go. We need to help. With nets and straight jackets if required. No death penalties, no lynchings, no money. Take it away from them. Give it to the poor.

Oh, and our heroes need some help letting go of the reins, or the expectation that they will get the reins.

Women need Leadership Training. They have been in a minority position for too long. They are less experienced power holders. Not sure what that would look like. That’s because it needs to be created by and for women. Note: The broadest possible definition of woman is assumed.

Random Thought: Guns & Violence

Observed Facts on the ground:  Pro-gun vs anti-gun appear to have irreconcilable difference. It is a zero sum game of how many guns there are and of what type. However, from a different perspective, outside the immediate issue of gun control, there is a common underlying agreement. That is...

It is practically and morally imperative for our society to protect itself from harm from bad actors.

On this we can all agree. Second Amendment proponentes want to protect themselves and those they love from tyranny, potentially fighting force with force.  A laudable goal. Those who want to restrict gun access want to reduce thebr of people killed by them. Also a laudable goal. Is there a reconciliation of these perspectives from a higher perspective?

I believe there is and it may be applicable to many of our intractable social issues. I have come to believe that a fundamental social axium is at the core of these difficulties. The axiom is...

As a society it is necessary to enforce law, order and national sovereignty by threat of death (or actual death) to be successful. (This is a fundamental fallacy)

Life is sacred and an inalienable right of each human. There is no circumstance where it is permissible to kill another human. It sometimes becomes a practical necessity, as in personal defensive action. However, it is always a bad choice and should never be written into the law or public policy.  Let's call it..

Right to Life (Just to be controversial)

There is no circumstance where one person has a right to kill another. The only exception would be to end suffering. Examples:

Killing an unwanted child.  (I acknowledge a big argument on the definition of child)
Killing a perceived dangerous or unlawfully acting person, typically by police.
Killing a convicted convict for abhorrent behavior.
Killing someone in another country or jurisdiction for any reason.

So to put it another way, I believe in right to life, every life.

Back to the gun debate. I believe we should honor the second amendment and continue to permit gun ownership for self defense. That includes defense from armed authorities.

If  we desire to reduce gun violence, we need to reduce all violence. On that we should be able to agree. The devil is in the details.

Keto Diet Progress: Just started without a lot of organization or planning. Trying to play catch up. Lost 7bls in less than a week. In ketosis? Obviously it's water weight, but better than gaining weight. Need to step up exercise. (220lbs to 213lbs)  I will know it's real when I am under 200lbs.

Random Thoughts: Know it, dig it, be it.

1. Not IOT. 

What? The Internet of Things refers to the ever-growing network of physical objects that feature an IP address for internet connectivity, and the communication that occurs between these objects and other Internet-enabled devices and systems.

People make up a lot of these objects. While they are physically connected to the Internet the most significant connection is to our minds. This is a bit frightening and I believe may be at the root of much of our stress. There is a simple counter balance. Nature. Know it, dig it, be it.

5 Simple Things Tim Ferriss Does Every Morning (and You Should Too)
1. Make Your Bed (<3 minutes)

To quote Naval Admiral William McRaven, who has commanded at every level within the Special Operations community, including acting as head of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) during the Osama bin Laden raid:

If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter.

2. Meditate (10 to 20 minutes) Using Sam Harris 30 Day Course to kick start.

3. Do Five to 10 Reps of Something (<1 minute)

4. Prepare "Titanium Tea" (this name was a joke, but it stuck)

I prepare loose-leaf tea in a Rishi glass teapot, but you could use a French press. The below combo is excellent for cognition and fat loss, and I use about one flat teaspoon of each:

Pu-erh aged black tea
Dragon well green tea (or other green tea)
Turmeric and ginger shavings (often also Rishi brand)

Add the hot water to your mixture and let it steep for one to two minutes.

Separately, add one of the following to your drinking mug: one to two tablespoons of coconut oil, which is about 60 to 70 percent MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) by weight, or 1 scoop of Quest MCT Oil Powder, which will give the tea a creamy consistency.

5. Morning Pages or 5-Minute Journal (5 to 10 minutes)

Next up is journaling, which is not a "Dear Diary" situation.

I use two types of journaling and alternate between them: Morning Pages and The 5-Minute Journal (5MJ). The former I use primarily for getting unstuck or problem-solving (what should I do?); the latter I use for prioritizing and gratitude (how should I focus and execute?)

The 5MJ is simplicity itself and hits a lot of birds with one stone: Five minutes in the morning of answering a few prompts, and then five minutes in the evening doing the same. Each prompt has three lines for three answers.
