Human = person = Individual = existing as a distinct entity (non-controversial)
So if I call something, like a monkey, a person or an individual I avoiding being anthropomorphic by taking the narrow definition of a distinct entity (implied sentient: sensitive in perception or feeling).
Like gender identity, but this is a being identity, apart from human. The terms Humans and Christians have recently been leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
From Merriam-Webster: individual noun
1. a particular being or thing as distinguished from a class, species, or collection: such as
2. a single organism as distinguished from a group
3. an indivisible or distinct entity [distinct: from adjective]
This sequence follows text messages w/Isabel about her murdered pet monkey, el Flaco (Skinny).
Hi. Welcome. Thank you for opting into this guide.
I know there’s a TON of free stuff floating around on the internet. Some of it is valuable, some of it isn’t, but there’s one thing that is true of everything free:
The transformation you experience is a direct result of your inner motivation and your inner motivation only.
You didn’t pay for this. There’s no external incentive to actually DO any of the inner work I outline for you in this guide, let alone read the whole thing.
THAT’S THE POINT.
That’s also why this isn’t some fancy branded PDF. What’s important to me is the transmission — not “appearing” to be something.
So. Let’s get into it.
This is the Hierarchy of Change & Motivation. This is important to understand.
The majority of our society focuses on the first two layers of having: Environment and Skills & Credentials. Things like: where you live and in what house, the car you drive, the things you have, your degrees and certifications, the letters after your name.
There is nothing wrong with any of this. These are excellent motivating factors that move many to change their lives. However, simply staying in these layers leaves you in a state of dependency to your external circumstances.
What happens if your house burns down? What happens if someone steals your most prized possessions? Or, if standards and information change (as they inevitably do) and your degree is no longer relevant? Who are you then? How do you experience and move through these moments of contrast?
Creating your life from a place of having requires a lot more “hammering into place,” as Abraham Hicks would say.
When your focus is entirely on the next external achievement, life becomes a rat race (and it is, for most people on the planet today).
The next two layers of doing, Behaviors & Habits and Beliefs & Values, lessen somewhat this obsession with the external.
This is the bread and butter of personal development. Think: create a powerful morning routine (e.g. Tim Ferriss) and connect deeply to your mission and purpose (e.g. Simon Sinek, “Start with Why”).
Again, nothing wrong with this. Doing is a great elevation from the obsession with having, and many people manifest great success by focusing their attention here.
Yet even this layer leaves you vulnerable to the emptiness on the other side of achievement without embodiment.
When I say vulnerable, what I mean is this: when you have committed yourself to lifelong expansion and growth, you are also committing yourself to a process of deepening awareness. Of knowing thyself, more and more. The lessons of the Universe will not pass you by; they will continue to show up until you not only intellectually understand them, but you fully, with every aspect of your BEing, embody that Universal wisdom. You may at first trick yourself into believing that certain achievements will lead to the total life satisfaction you’ve been craving, and that by adopting the right habits and values you’ll be one of the “good guys” — aka wealthy and enlightened. Or something like that.
But the delicious truth (that slaps many in the face, but that’s ok — this guide is here to make the transition pleasant instead of jarring) is that without this last layer of conscious Identity none of it ultimately makes a lasting difference to your life experience.
That’s what I mean by vulnerable. The doing won’t save you from the realization that there is still something more.
And it is this last layer of Identity that is simultaneously the most challenging and most rewarding layer to fully embody.
This is what I’m going to help you experience throughout the rest of this guide.
“Because I choose, I am free.”
If you do not consciously create your identity, the external world will create it for you.
Parents, caregivers, school, friends, the media, social media, structures, systems, institutions — all of these elements and more will very effectively create your identity by default, if you allow them to.
Conscious identity creation is not a one-and-done thing. This is a lifelong, everyday process and a commitment to continual reinvention. This is a dedication to your Self.
If you have never done this work before, it will be challenging at first. Then it will get easier. And eventually, this work will feel so natural that you will fully “wake up” from all of your past programming and conditioning, and at last see yourself for who you really are.
Below are the five pillars of consciously choosing who you BE in this world. Who you be determines what you create (manifest), and the lens through which you experience your creations.
This is the difference between manifesting millions of dollars and feeling stressed, burnt out, and disconnected — and manifesting those same millions while enjoying every single moment of the process AND each Now moment (as simply one example).
Below each pillar I will share a brief overview and a series of questions.
Take these questions seriously and journal on them. This is the “get to do” from this guide. Do it. Do the work. Your future self will thank you.
Clarity is quite possibly the most underrated step of creating anything.
And the most common objection I hear here is: I don’t know what I want. I’m still figuring it out.
Yes. You will perpetually “still be figuring it out” until you sit the fuck down and figure it out. So go do that. Right now. Start somewhere. This does not have to be perfect. Life is a series of stepping stones so take the first step. Please.
Ask yourself:
What do you desire?
If there were no negative consequences, what would you desire?
What kind of impact or legacy would you like to leave on this planet? What would you like to be known for? This could be as localized as impacting your immediate family or as global as reaching millions of people with your message. Any scope is valid and worthy.
Who do you want to BE in the receiving of your desires? (brain dump some qualities)
Imagine an important person in your life is being interviewed by your favorite podcast host. They’re asked to describe you. What do they say?
This is the thing (or things) you’ll come back to daily to help bring forth your new, expanded Identity into the 3D. The following questions are designed to ground you and provide a cue to your subconscious mind to cut the shit and cooperate with your conscious direction (only in those moments he or she acts out 😉).
Ask yourself:
Why are your goals and desires important to you?
Why do you want to experience your desires, and what might that experience be like?
What reason(s) would be compelling enough to you that you would never quit — no matter what?
How can you tap into and deepen your connection with your answers to the above 3 questions daily? Can you remind yourself to come back to these answers in moments of doubt, and commit to that persistent state shift?
In the process of embodying a new identity, you are essentially consciously training your subconscious mind to adopt (install) a new set of programs. This upsets the old programs. Your subconscious mind will try to “protect” you by maintaining the status quo of the old programs. This looks like an emotional rollercoaster, to put it bluntly. So making it a priority to work on your emotional intelligence is HUGE here.
You can and will make it through this stage.
Emotions are simply energy in motion. They are meant to move through the body — not become stuck as trauma patterns (hint: every single human being has experienced some form of trauma. Even something as “simple” as schoolyard bullying can cause a traumatic imprint, when we’ve never been taught how to process our emotions. We go into how to release these imprints in my upcoming course on Identity).
Simply put, feeling your emotions will never hurt you. Repressing and compounding emotions is what causes pain.
The more we can learn how to respond rather than unconsciously react to the circumstances around us, while extracting and integrating the powerful lessons present in those circumstances, the faster our emotional metabolism becomes.
Ask yourself:
What thoughts create emotions that align with your vision (your desires & who you be)? What are some ways you can remind yourself daily to think these thoughts, and cultivate a practice so these thoughts become second-nature?
What emotions do you find yourself frequently avoiding / numbing?
If you gave yourself permission to feel, instead of avoid / numb, what might happen?
Is there a part of you asking to be seen? If that part of you could talk, what would he or she say? What does he or she need right now, and how can you meet those needs?
We are now entering the land of the “morning routine gurus”. 🥴
Instead of dictating to you a rigid prescription, I want to empower you to create your own toolbox that you can pull from, and choose to use these tools based upon your unique needs.
Our needs change. They can change daily, weekly, monthly, seasonally, etc. No shame here — it’s all perfect.
The idea here is to create custom rituals that help to enhance your life experience and solidify the new identity you are working on co-creating with the Universe.
Here is an incomplete list of some of my favorite tools from my own toolbox. Incorporate some or all of these into your life, as you like.
Meditation (guided, silent, mantra)
Journaling / scripting / speaking
NLP / anchoring
Mental diet / affirmations
Orgasm
Visualization
Breathwork
Movement / dance / yoga / climbing
Purified water
Creative expression (writing, art, music)
Whole foods & mindful eating
Gratitude / positive aspects
Placebo effect
Mirror work
Ask yourself:
What do you want your toolbox to contain? What tools do you enjoy?
How can you use these tools in ritual and with intention?
Create one morning and one evening ritual that best serves you, right now. How will you keep yourself accountable to these practices?
What tools will you use daily to help bring you back to center, when your subconscious mind tries to act out an old program?
Action is the language of our physical 3D reality (not the quantum!).
However: action backed by intention and taken in aligned energy not only speaks to the 3D, but provides a blueprint to the quantum field that informs what you manifest and how you experience these manifestations in future timelines (We explore deeper into quantum field theory in my Identity course. I used to work as an engineer and understand these concepts on both a technical and spiritual level).
For now, here’s the only equation you need to know:
Intentional action + Aligned energy = Exponential power
Action alone is the piece most people start with. And this strategy gives the appearance of “working”: you can still create 3D results in your life via lots of action and shit energy…
...but my guess is, if you’re reading this, that’s not what you’re about. So align your inner world first, consciously choose who you BE, and then take action from that place. I promise, it will be 1,000 billion times more effective and will feel fucking amazing when you do experience the results of your persistent, deliberate, conscious focus.
Ask yourself:
What are some actions you believe are necessary to achieve your goals and desires? (hint: whatever you believe works, works. Your belief is the most important underlying factor. This is why people experience vastly different results when applying the same exact methods.)
What are some small, daily actions you can begin to take as your new identity right now?
Practice…
...taking action quickly. (e.g. if going live on Facebook to promote your business, for example, just set up the camera and GO. No sitting there in an anxious puddle for 15 minutes)
...tuning into and taking action based on your intuition. The more you practice this, the louder that inner voice becomes and the easier it becomes to trust him or her.

From Nathan: A minimum viable product, or MVP, is a product with enough features to attract early-adopter customers and validate a product idea early in the product development cycle. In industries such as software, the MVP can help the product team receive user feedback as quickly as possible to iterate and improve the product.
Lesson:
Focus on minimum need to get Pine Street Annex up and running
I've been stuck....getting unstuck today!!!!
Cascade Mountain: Thursday April,8 2021 12:00pm to 6:00pm David & Rory
I had tried this two weeks before, but there was too much snow (lousy spring snow) and I could not find the actual trail. I cam back just to see the actual trail head, I only had my Merrill winter street shoes, but I put on YakTrax and with my hiking poles and Rory went for it. Took It very slowly, 6 hours!!!, but got it done Definitely harder coming down than going up.
The park is planning for closing this trailhead and relocating it off of Rt 73 because of the summer traffic hazards on the overflowing parking slots.
There was an "easy" .7 mile hookup to Porter Mountain, a two-fer, but that would have killed me...so, as usual, do it the hard way.
What is the Easiest Adirondack High Peak to Hike? (article)
https://trailandsummit.com/what-is-the-easiest-adirondack-high-peak-to-hike/
My primary motivation was to get me out of a funk and prove I can do this....and then 45 more!
Mission:
Support Vets to get past addiction, PTSD and other obstacles to a peaceful productive life. Starting with housing as a foundation for personal realization. Form a community that is self-supporting.
On the cusp:
Notes: Meditation was surprisingly calm and clear. I need to focus on my purpose/mission, not on my personal struggles.
BE LIKE SHIRLEY!
Past Life/Mission: Looked up Lee Lawrence on Internet, very interesting. Need to focus of my mission...didn't have time to fully connect w/dad, so help other (vets) struggling.
Short version of past life regression w/Lee: I was the best friend of my dad who he left wounded and dying on the battle field (Pacific islands in WWII). I returned very soon to help my father feel forgiven and supported. Failed at this mission...he committed suicide when I was five. Now working to support other vets.
This mission is sputtering and needs to be executed, now.
1st Attempt at ADK 46 High Peaks...tomorrow morning, would be amazing to just do one.
Hike Cascade & Porter Mountains
Hike 2 of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks and take in amazing views of Lake Champlain, Whiteface, and the Great Range peaks.
Cascade 4,098ft and Porter 4,084ft are two easy peaks which are usually hiked together. The trail starts on Rt 73 and you starts climbing up slowly but not challenging at all. It's 2.4 miles to summit of cascade, the last 0.2 miles is a open rock scrambling but I'm the winter when the weather is bad a can get really nasty so be prepared for the conditions. ones you summit you'll have 360° views. On your way back you have the option of doing Porter Mountain I guess it all depends how you feel but is absolutely worth it to include Porter this way you'll be hiking two peaks and just a mile more to your trip. The views on both mountains are spectacular. Another thing I absolutely recommend is to hike up Cascade into the night and sleep at the summit. All you need is a sleeping bag don't go crazy bringing a lot of gear, just make sure you set your alarm so you don't miss sunrise. Sunrise at top of Cascade is absolutely brilliant.
Still questioning the whole decision I made about vets and housing. Going forward staying on mission despite doubts.
Beyond Mission to Flow...
1. Do Deep Work
When we do deep work like writing, reading books, or computer programming, we’ve chosen an activity that is actually conducive to flow.
2. Avoid Interruptions
One focused hour a day of uninterrupted creation time can turn almost anyone into a prolific creator, the key work being “uninterrupted.”
3. Listen to the Same Music Track on Repeat
When you play the same music track over and over, you drown out the noise around you, and it because it’s on repeat you no longer have to give it conscious attention. All your attention can be directed to doing deep work.
4. Work for Long Enough to Get into Flow
On any given day, it might take me 30–45 minutes to get into flow. It’s one shitty first sentence after another, almost all the way to 1000 words. Eventually, I become more lucid, and it goes from writing gibberish to the the construction of coherent sentences and writing articles like this one. As Anne Lamott once said “all good writing begins with terrible first efforts.”
If doing the best work of your life is important to you, check out my free guide: “Optimizing Productivity & Creativity.”
Trying to get over the goal line; first renter. Broke, lots to do. Living in fear. Need to get back on truck w/food, exercise and MEDITATION.
Finished morning routine at 9:30am. Will be swimming later then Horse Grounds w/Rory. See if we can going for 5 minutes anyway.
.Shooting for a zero accident day. Treats are working, but now has loose stools.
Need to dig into business end of all my efforts w/Pine Street Annex Project.
Missed a day of full MMJMJ but, all systems going forward. Still slow and choppy, but going. Watched TikTok on how to manifest with two glasses of water and sticky notes...Giving it a try.
Two Cup Method: Quantum Jumping Manifestation
In order to apply this method, you only need two sticky notes, a pen, two glasses, and water. If you want to try this method, you have to really believe it.
1. You put your current situation down on the first sticky pad, what you are feeling, if you are stressed out, unhappy with the situation.
2. On the second cup write your desired situation. Then, you put all the feelings of how happy and grateful to have what you desire right now, in this present moment.
3. Fill the first cup and hold it feeling the emotions and energy of your current state for a while.
4. Pour the water into the second cup, hold it in your hands fully embracing the moment of having your desired manifestation now. Engage your emotions and gratitude fully (2-5 minutes). Drink the water, be the water, Forget it. Move on.
Notes: Scientific Proof Thoughts & Intentions Can Alter The Physical World Around Us Dr. Masaru Emoto, a researcher and alternative healer from Japan has given the world a good deal of evidence of the magic of positive thinking. He became famous when his water molecule experiments featured in the 2004 film, What The Bleep Do We Know? His experiments demonstrate that human thoughts and intentions can alter physical reality, such as the molecular structure of water. Given that humans are comprised of at least 60% water, his discovery has far reaching implications… can anyone really afford to have negative thoughts or intentions?
Hanging in but getting stressed prior to fist renal and dog/Rory Borealis. Having doubts, but going forward, mostly thru action and faith.
Finishing this journal entry at 7:30am, but after a poor interrupted night's sleep.
MJMMJ 4rd Day in a Row
Earliest completion yet 10:40am. Let's go for 7 straight and see where we are. Doing minimum 10 minute meditation, trying 24 minute when I can, like to day.
Just watched on of my favorite ADHD TikTok guys....sys cardio is huge. For so many reason, need to get on it. Will try to push the speed for a mile in the pool today.
Rory Borealis coming this week...Likely
