Free Will Astrology "Turning Point" + Big-Picture Forecast for 2015

 Freewill Astrology

Pisces Horoscope for week of January 29, 2015
Verticle Oracle card Pisces (February 19-March 20)In the 1951 animated movie version of Alice in Wonderland, Alice says to herself, "I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it." I hope you won't be like her, Pisces. It's an excellent time for you to heed your own good advice. In fact, I suspect that doing so will be crucial to your ability to make smart decisions and solve a knotty problem.

This is one of those turning points when you really have to practice what you preach. You've got to walk your talk.

Pisces Big-Picture Forecast for 2015

Pisces, here are six different angles on your long-term destiny: my forecasts for you in 2015.

PART 1
The Appalachian Mountains span 1,500 miles from Newfoundland to Alabama. They are the seventh longest range in the world. And yet they have shrunk over the eons. Their average height is 3,000 feet, but when they were young they were probably twice that high. What happened? There has been constant erosion caused by rivers, glaciers, wind, tree roots, lichens, and oxidation. Rain and condensation have also played a role because when water freezes, it expands, creating a wedging force. I propose that we make what has happened to the Appalachians a symbol of what's possible for you in the next eight months, Pisces. Through steady, small actions, you can significantly grind down a mountainous obstacle.

*

PART 2
Piscean actor Sir Michael Caine has had an illustrious career. He has won two Oscars and been nominated for the award six times in five different decades. But for his appearance in Jaws: The Revenge, he was nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor. He confessed that his work in that film was not his best, and yet he was happy with how much money he made doing it. "I have never seen the film," he said, "but by all accounts it was terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific." In accordance with the astrological omens, Pisces, you have permission to engage in a comparable trade-off during the coming months.

*

PART 3
At age 80, author Joan Didion has published five novels, ten works of non-fiction, and five screenplays. When she was 27, she wrote, "I have already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be." That wasn't a good thing, she added: "We are well-advised to keep on nodding terms with the people we used to be, whether we find them attractive company or not. Otherwise they turn up unannounced and surprise us, come hammering on the mind's door and demand to know who deserted them, who betrayed them, who is going to make amends." I recommend her counsel to you in the coming months, Pisces. Get reacquainted with the old selves you have outgrown and abandoned.

*

PART 4
When a dead tree topples over in the woods, its withered branches may get entangled with the branches of a living tree that's standing nearby. As years go by, the living tree must grow the best it can with the decaying wood trapped in its midst. Has something like that ever happened to you? Are you still carrying the rot that other people have burdened you with? If so, the coming months will be an excellent time to get disentangled. A tree isn't capable of freeing itself from the dead weight of the past, but you are -- especially in the first half of 2015.

*

PART 5
"Be good and you will be lonesome," said Mark Twain. Do you agree? I don't -- at least as it applies to your life in 2015. According to my understanding of the long-term astrological omens, you will attract an abundance of love and luck by being good -- by expressing generosity, deepening your compassion, cultivating integrity, and working for justice and truth and beauty. That doesn't mean you should be a pushover or doormat. Your resolve to be good must be leavened by a determination to deepen your self-respect. Your eagerness to do the right thing has to include a commitment to raising your levels of self-care.

*

PART 6
"Erotomania" is a word for the erroneous fantasies people entertain when they imagine that a celebrity is in love with them. Laughable, right? Just because I have dreams of Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey texting me seductive notes doesn't mean that she genuinely yearns for my companionship. And yet most of us, including you and me, harbor almost equally outlandish beliefs and misapprehensions about all kinds of things. They may not be as far-fetched as those that arise from erotomania, but they are still out of sync with reality. The good news, Pisces, is that in 2015 you will have the best chance ever to become aware of and shed your delusions -- even the long-running, deeply-rooted kinds.

Exploring Consciousness 11/21/14

New Frontiers of Consciousness - Part 1 (Vimeo)

Jurgen Ziewe reports about his peak experiences which gradually lead towards a state of consciousness of direct reality awareness without the filters of conditioning, prejudgements, the likes and dislikes of the ego. He delves into the phenomena of "Awakening", what it "feels" like and how it differentiates from normal everyday waking consciousness. He points to what we can do to shift our attention from the tyranny of our internal commentator to an awareness of what actually is by paying attention to a far superior wisdom awareness of the heart. May be the heart does a better job at living than our thoughts. "The time of teachers is done. We need to learn about our own inner teacher"  His "discoveries": compare your to others to eliminate contusion.

  1. Astral travel: "visited" brother, found his whole consciousness
  2. Multiple dimensions/copies each copy is better and more vibrant House became field.
  3. When meditating and have out of body experience...continue meditation (OM). this will allow entry into higher lever of consciousness. (practice surrender and gratefulness)
  4. Recommends exploring near death experiences. Trauma propels into altered state.
  5. Lucid dreams, hyper aware, ecstasy: Maintained same state while awake
  6. This is not replacing old ideas with new ones, but just being in the present. Mundane is        extraordinary. If over taken by ego/thoughts...you can find your way back.
  7.  Thoughts are tools for your use, not the controlling mechanism
  8.  We are more than our thoughts. we are all equal.

Shakori Hills Forever!  10/12/14
Journal: Shakori was amazing.  Really getting a big dose of why it is so special. 1st MKP booth, not perfect, but went very well. Jim Lyda thinks we should keep it up.

Discovered...was confronted with...Nahko and Medicine for the People. Nahko Bear is a force of nature (and all for Nature!).  Take girls to Wilmington for another dose??

Thursday-Implementing Soul Calculations 10/9/14

Weight:         8.2%
Exercise:       0%
Connection:   40% (+MKP work, + Family - Livelihood, -Meditation)
Soul's Well-Being = 16.1%  (That's sobering!)

Soul's Well-Being = Reincarnation + Exercise + Connection
Soul's Well Being % = (1/3 of Weight Goal) + (1/3 Exercise) + (1/3 Connection)
Reincarnation = Nutrition (measured as % of weight loss goal achieved)
Exercise = 1 hour/day x 6 days/week = 100%
Connection = Subjective = Family + Community + Livelihood + Meditation

Soul Work Calculations 10/8/14
So...according to Younger Near Year you need 3 things..1. Don't eat crap, 2. Exercise (1 hr/day x 6 days a week, w/weights 2x week) 3. Love/connect/Passion

Here is the current calculus...I will track this by a %. No. 1 will be my weight. No. 2 will be % of 1 hr/day exercise (% of 1 hour of exercise for yesterday. Eventually for the week, then include weight lifting @ 20% of the effort) No. 3 is more subjective. (For now purely sujective but with notes. Soon, meditation will be 30%)  So where am I?

Soul = All that I think, feel and perceive, both consciously and unconsciously.
Reincarnation = Nutrition fully absorbed into my sacred portal hepatic system.
Exercise = Intentional and mindful physical exertion
Connection = Family + Community + Livelihood + Meditation)

Soul's Well-Being = Reincarnation + Exercise + Connection (new)

1.  (229.2- current-weight) = weight-loss  Weight-loss/goal (68.5lbs)*100 = % of goal.
Ex: Weight-loss = 5.4lbs     5.4/68.5 (goal)*100 = 7.8% of goal reached! (This will be done in Excel with just % brought forward.
2. 0%
3. 40% (+MKP work, + Family - Livelihood, -Meditation)

More Calculations: For Soul's Well Being Expressed as a Percent

Soul's Well-Being = Reincarnation + Exercise + Connection
Soul's Well Being % = (1/3 of Weight Goal) + (1/3 Exercise) + (1/3 Connection)
Reincarnation = Nutrition (measured as % of weight loss goal achieved)
Exercise = 1 hour/day x 6 days/week = 100%
Connection = Subjective = Family + Community + Livelihood + Meditation

Good So Far  10/7/14
Achieved: 7.29%  Now: 225 lbs   Loss: 5 lbs   Goal: Lose 68.5 lbs (Stone) @ 160.5 lbs
Soul's Well-Being  = Reincarnation x Exercise

Next big step: Get sales going, step up to exercise, keep things moving/engaged.

Gratitude: Having Alex home by himself is a definite family boost. Fall is beyond beauty.

11:11   10/4/2014
Inspired by conversations with Robert Rhyndress at annual MKP GCC Annual Meeting:

At first, 11:11 is a general invitation to move toward the inner joy and life fulfillment that's possible for you.

Answer the call of 11:11
Say yes to the guidance that got you here. There is more Non-Physical help standing by than you can imagine. Step into your awakening, deepen your current enlightenment, or perhaps bring it more down to earth in practical areas like money, relationships, anxiety, depression, health, etc. You CAN have spiritual bliss and live happily on this earth. You planned it that way before you even came here.

Numerologists believe that events linked to the time 11:11 appear more often than can be explained by chance or coincidence. This belief is related to the concept of synchronicity. Some authors claim that seeing 11:11 on a clock is an auspicious sign. Others claim that 11:11 signals a spirit presence. The belief that the time 11:11 has mystical powers has been adopted by believers in New Age philosophies

by Zen Gardner
I'd heard about this 11:11 phenomenon and noticed it for some time, but over the past year it has come wildly into life.

And I'm lovin' it!

In case it's happening to you as well and you're noticing 11:11's, 111's, and even 11's or multiples of 11, I wanted to present a few theories as to what it signifies.
I know for a fact that for me personally it is a very synchronistic occurrence, and the more aware you are of it the more it happens. My wife and I both see them constantly and point them out to each other and it's a real kick, as well as a great consciousness raiser.
And many times it's downright freaky.

But always it's a signal to stop and assess the significance of the moment, or just plain revel in the playful wonder of it all. It may seem to be simply a self-reinforcing phenomenon, and obvious because of the year.
But read on, oh skeptic.

Pantheist: Home at Last!  10/3/14
Pantheism:
Pantheism is the belief that the universe (or nature as the totality of everything) is identical with divinity, or that everything composes an all-encompassing, immanent God. Pantheists thus do not believe in a distinct personal or anthropomorphic god.
Pantheism was popularized in the West as both a theology and philosophy based on the work of the 17th-century philosopher Baruch Spinoza, whose book Ethics was an answer to Descartes' famous dualist theory that the body and spirit are separate. Spinoza held the monist view that the two are the same, and monism is a fundamental part of his philosophy. He was described as a "God-intoxicated man," and used the word God to describe the unity of all substance. Although the term pantheism was not coined until after his death, Spinoza is regarded as its most celebrated advocate.

Radical Self-love and Radiant Well-being  10/2/14
Ron Veitel believes that radical self-love and radiant physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are the birthrights of being human.

I am ready to embrace that birthright. As I sit here at 229.2lbs, on the brink of immensity, I envision a life of shrinking girth and expanding consciousness. I will love myself to wellness by focusing on the forces I reincarnate into my soul. I will seek out vital nutrients and embark on a divine journey of physicality that will propel me into the far reaches of what is my maximum capacity for intentional exertion.

Soul = All that I think, feel and perceive, both consciously and unconsciously.
Reincarnation = Vibrant nutrition fully absorbed into my sacred portal hepatic system.
Exercise = Intentional and mindful physical exertion
Soul's Well-Being = Reincarnation x Exercise

First Day of Fall: Mabon  9/23/14
Mabon marks the middle of harvest, it is a time of equal day and equal night, and for the moment nature is in balance. It is a time to reap what you have sown, of giving thanks for the harvest and the bounty the Earth provides. For finishing up old projects and plans and planting the seeds for new enterprises or a change in lifestyle. Mabon is a time of celebration and balance.
This is the time to look back not just on the past year, but also your life, and to plan for the future. In the rhythm of the year, Mabon is a time of rest and celebration, after the hard work of gathering the crops. Warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.

The passing of Mabon is inevitable and The Sun God should be mourned. We too, must remember that all things must come to an end. So the Sun God journeys into the lands of winter and into the Goddess' loving arms, but endings are a good time to celebrate our successes, thank our selves and those who helped us, and take part in the balance of life!

Mabon was a Welsh god whose name means Divine Youth and is the son of Modron, the Divine Mother.

On Mabon we honor the Goddess Demeter, Goddess of grain. Her famous myth deals with her daughter Persephone and her seasonal trip to the underworld. Now is the time when Demeter is mourning the loss of her daughter, and because of this all of the plants wither and die. When Persephone is returned back to her mother at spring, life begins a new and Demeter is happy once more.

Now is the time to turn inward and reflect on the darker side of ourselves. To walk the labyrinth of life and find balance in this time of self reflection. Take some time to shed some of the negative things that hold you down, this will make room for more positive things to move in. In all of life and nature, there cannot be light without the dark, and their cannot be dark without the light. It is the great balance that we all strive for.

Journal: I am feeling renewed and unburdened. Several small things have come together. Cindy and I were arguing about money and I calculated how much I have coming in on an annual basis...over $40K....that's shocking, in a good way. I stopped by Gil's to pick up supplement for Alex and was reminded I have an appointment on the 18th of November, a good motivation to renew my efforts to better health. Yesterday I suddenly realized that the tendon in my arm is almost healed. It has been a painful reminder of getting old and not taking care of myself. I used a dumbbell last night and it feels fine this morning.

Out the old, in with the new. I want to be cognizant that the fall is time of my father's death (November). But perhaps now it can be a source of renewal and support instead of depression. The power of the revealed shadow....wow.

Health: I want to take this week to establish some new habits.

Gratitude: I am grateful for all of the gifts I have been given on this beautiful fall day.

Gratitude: I am truly blessed to be living in Carolina on a beautiful fall morning because it gives me pause to appreciate all I have been blessed with.

Meditated for 10 minutes.

Monday Morning (Not So Much!) the First   9/15/14
Got up at 6:00a and had breakfast with Joh Cogswell and took him to the airport. Went back to bed, now after noon. I was up late working on my Sunday evening...to-become-routine. Not feeling the the urge to go with Playbuddy, but have an anger just under the surface that is worrisome.

Dream (partially lucid): There was some kind of emergency where people were dying/drowning in a fast moving river. I was looking into a deep chasm the riven flowed thru. I ran back and felt I needed to use a vehicle so I went to my motorcycle. I got on it, somehting was wrong/different. It was partially organic. It started and as soon as it did, I said to myself "this isn't mine, mine wouldn't start right up!" I rode back down to the river where the authorities were setting up and scanning the river. I felt an urgent need to tell one of the rescuers that I saw a man in a small boat come close to a place on the other side of the river where the water disappeared below the ground. The man disappeared at this spot when I was watching earlier. Part of me felt that this was an intentional act on his part.

I woke up and realized I wanted a lucid dream (been doing this off and on for a few months). I remembered in the dream that when I got on the motorcycle I was basically transported down to the river, so I tried to go back into the dream and get on the bike. It worked!  There was not a lot more to the dream other than the realization (in and out od the dream) that I could be on the motorcycle and get anywhere I wanted (intention/licidity). Wow! Truly my dream bike!

Dream No. 1  Alchemy   9/13/14
Journal: It's 12:53am and I'm getting up at 6am. Not the best planning...but I am planning! Journal entries 4 days in a row!

It is 5:09am on a Saturday morning. I was just roused from an extraordinary dream by a need to go to the bathroom. For some period of time I struggled to stay in the dream state. It was partially successful. This is my recollection of the dream:

I find myself struggling with an item in my hands. I am frustrated and have a keen sence of urgency. It fits in the palm of my hand and looks somehting like a gold bracelet, but odly shaped. As I continue to manipulate this object I perceive that my mind is a bit fuzzy. Eventually I get the object properelly oriented and it is a headset. Now that I can hear, there are several people that have apparently been in conversation with me, but have been cut off from the communication while I have been struggling with the device.  The primary person on the other end is angry and is about to hang up. I quickly try and recover. I as struggling with both an attempt to describe an experiment I have been running for their benefit (there is apparently video communication running as well) and an interpersonal aspect of conversation that is aimed at cooling their anger by appealing to their ego.

The experiment: I have constructed an enclosure that is designed to eliminate any possibility of interfering with the space inside the enclose from the outside. All information coming from enclosure is being broadcast wirelessly in the lab and simultaneously being broadcast to the scientists on the other end of the phone/video connection.  I explain that when the experiment started, I put two frisbees purchased from a local retail store in the enclosure.  Nothing else is in the enclosure with the exception of the communication equipment.  During our conversation (although the audio from me was briefly interrupted) the two frisbees have gone through a transformation. First into a block of marble that is indistinguishable from a quarried piece of stone, then into something else. I am not sure what it looks like, but it has metamorphosed into a object capable of communicating with us. Indeed it is capable of passing the Tuling test (I realize in the dream that I can not properly remember the name of the test. [The Turing test is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human]

The conversation: I am trying desperately to keep the scientist on the other line to not hang up. In a raised angry voice he explains how busy they are and how important their work is, bla, bla, bla. I profusely apologize for my incompetence with my odd headset and attempt to explain by stating that I have been up for many hours and have taken something that has come out of the experiment and am a bit befuddled. This just makes him angrier as it blatantly breaks all proper scientific protocols. I further explain my rational for choosing to have the conversation with his group in the first place. I perceive him to be (I am very particular about use of the word "perceive") one of the few people on the planet that can appreciate and fully understand my work. Further, while unconventional, the procedures I have been running through were intended only to demonstrate tho nature of the experiment in the enclosure. We were now at a point where manipulation of the the object in the enclosure was to be given over to him. I would answer any questions I could and he would be able to create the circumstances in the enclosure that would answer any other question he had empirically.

Then I woke up.

Comments: Wow that was a cool dream! I decline to call this section an interpretation because of my lack of knowledge around Jung's methods for dream interpretation. But I do see many interesting aspects of the dream that touch on "reality."

The idea that I have taken something that has changed my consciousness (and that the substance came from the experiment) parallels my current perception that my mind has been altered by the recent Dream Shadow Seminar I attended. I described myself as "manic" to Tracy Phillips during our conversation yesterday. I have also recenly discussed with Robert (Oasis) a drug called DMT. It is supposed to put you in touch with the universe for 8 hours or so, but when you return, only 15 minutes has transpired. [See DMT section below] He stated that he would not be taking it any time soon because he feared disturbing a dichotomy in his current mental state. Half of him in focued an a gigantic project ($500k) in Jamaca (Bob Marly's 70th birthday celebration, "One Love") and his routine life as the proprietor of The Oasis in Call Mill.

Feeling incompetent is nothing new, but I am apparently overcoming it in the dream.

The fact that this journal is now partially a dream journal fits into my recent exposure to Jungian psychology. I am fearful about going in too many directions at the same time. One of the immediate thoughts I had waking was that this dream could be th subject for afilm I could make (example of going in many directions mentally).

Alchemy: In this book, Jung argues for a reevaluation of the symbolism of Alchemy as being intimately related to the psychoanalytical process. Using a cycle of dreams of one of his patients he shows how the symbols used by the Alchemists occur in the psyche as part of the reservoir of mythological images drawn upon by the individual in their dream states. Jung draws an analogy between the Great Work of the Alchemists and the process of reintegration and individuation of the psyche in the modern psychiatric patient. This is news to me (just pulled it off of Wikipedia) but not surprised. This is a link I have been missing. I knew e studies alchemy, was not sure how it fit in.  In my dream the gold headset/object was the genesis of everything else. It was not in the enclosure, but was essential to the communication (read understanding). It started the transformation that ended with human consciousness (

DMT: N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT or N,N-DMT) is a psychedelic compound of the tryptamine family. Since DMT resembles the basic structure of neurotransmitters, when ingested DMT is able to cross the human blood-brain-barrier, allowing it to act as a powerful hallucinogenic drug that dramatically affects human consciousness. Depending on the dose and method of administration, its subjective effects can range from short-lived, milder psychedelic states to powerful immersive experiences; these are often described as a total loss of connection to external reality and an experience of encountering indescribable spiritual/alien beings and realms.

DMT Conjecture: Dr. Rick Strassman, while conducting DMT research in the 1990s at the University of New Mexico, advanced the controversial hypothesis that a massive release of DMT from the pineal gland prior to death or near death was the cause of the near death experience (NDE) phenomenon. Several of his test subjects reported audio or visual hallucinations. His explanation for this was the possible lack of panic involved in the clinical setting and possible dosage differences between those administered and those encountered in actual NDE cases. Several subjects also reported contact with "other beings", alien like, insectoid or reptilian in nature, in highly advanced technological environments[13] where the subjects were "carried", "probed", "tested", "manipulated", "dismembered", "taught", "loved" and "raped" by these "beings". Basing his reasoning on his belief that all the enzymatic material needed to produce DMT is found in the pineal gland, and moreover in substantially greater concentrations than in any other part of the body, Strassman has speculated that DMT is made in the pineal gland.

Legal DMT Use: Santo Daime churches (use DMT in ceremonies, legal for their use in US) promote a wholesome lifestyle in conformity with Irineu's motto of "harmony, love, truth and justice", as well as other key doctrinal values such as strength, humility, fraternity and purity of heart. The practice became a worldwide movement in the 1990s. The churches website: http://www.santodaime.com/en/

SD Cards for DSLR Video - Prevent Your Card from Auto Stopping: This video compares Sandisk Extreme Pro 95mb/sec 32GB SDHC card ($130) and the Transcend Class 10 32GB SDHC card ($30) He concludes if your are just starting out, the cheaper card is fine. For example, his camera was not able to exploit most of the speed of the more expensive Scandisk.

Ended day with trip to Richmond to have dinner with Tod and Randy. It was really nice (Stella's). Good friends take effort to keep.

I don't have any format yet, but I hope to ferret out what to do in the book Gaines loaned me on journaling. For right now, I just want to touch base every day.  Touch!

15 Things You Should Give Up To Be Successful (Reblog)

15 Things You Should Give Up To Be Successful

By:     Topics: Entrepreneurship Have you ever wondered why you’re not reaching your next level in business and life?  (Maxine's Blog: http://www.theleaderoftomorrow.com/)

Hi, I’m Maxine,
I often talk about how to overcome self-doubt & achieve your goals. Today, I’m going to share with you some of the main reasons why most people never achieve success.
You see, there are so many things that hinder us from achieving our goals. We all cling on to bad habits, deconstructive behavior and limiting beliefs.
The difference between stagnation and growth are often subtle shifts. Here are 15 things to give up for more success:

1. Give Up Your Mask

In order to avoid getting hurt and rejected, we hide who we really are behind a mask of who we think we should be.
Have the courage to be you, to show your true emotions and stand behind them – even at the risk of disapproval.
Embrace not only the “good” side of you, but also the vulnerable side. Because vulnerability is authentic and real.
It’s the source of creativity and innovation. It creates opportunity.
“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”  ~BrenĂ© Brown,

2. Give Up Your Belief In The Future

Yes, your future holds your hopes, your dreams and desires – but your future depends on the choices you make today.
Believe in the presence.  You only ever have this moment – because the past moments are gone and the future will eventually show up as another moment of now.
Success starts at this very moment, with the choices you make right now. Practice presence.
Notice what’s around you, what you see, hear, taste and smell. Notice what you experience and interact with it.
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” ~Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now

3. Give Up Your SOS  (Shiny Object Syndrome)

Whether it’s chasing that next “shiny” idea or the secret shortcuts to success – we are all guilty of this addiction.
The pursuit of everything that seems appealing is seductive. It makes us get side-tracked, loose focus and go in a million different directions.
Take time to identify the ideas and activities worth pursuing and then stick to them on a consistent basis.
“If you want to draw water you do not dig six one-foot wells. You dig one six-foot well.” ~Buddha

4. Give Up Your Need Of Others' Approval

You sabotage your success if you make choices that aim to avoid disapproval. Your ego’s seeking of recognition is never ending and makes you miss potentially rewarding opportunities because of your fear of being criticised.
Choose wisely between what’s good for the ego and what’s good for your success.
“A truly strong person does not need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep.” ~Vernon Howard

5. Give Up Taking “No” As “No”

Interpret feedback the way you choose to: A “no” doesn’t mean “no” – it just means “not right now” or “not this way”.
Whatever it is that you want to achieve, don’t take rejection as a final answer. Take it as a useful feedback that says, “Keep going”.

6. Give Up Distinguishing Between Your Private And Work Life

All aspects of your life are interconnected. You are fooling yourself by believing your private life doesn’t impact your entrepreneurial success.
You are hindering your growth if some areas of your life are a mess. True success encompasses all areas.
Bring passion, perseverance and joy to all of the roles you play: as an entrepreneur, a lover or a friend… Make all aspects of your life successful and be proactive.

7. Give Up Your Reluctance To Ask For Help

Be man enough to admit you don’t know everything. Don’t take asking for help as a sign of weakness.
Instead, embrace it as an act of strength: it indicates honesty, intelligence and your rise above the ego that wants to do it all alone. Remember:
“The strong individual is the one who asks for help when he needs it.”  ~Rona Barrett

8. Give Up Fixing Your Weaknesses

We live in a society that emphasize the need to be well-rounded. Successful people hardly ever tick that box – instead they know, embrace and manage around their weaknesses.
Fixing weaknesses is just another strategy to play safe – playing not to lose instead of playing to win.
Change your focus from fixing weaknesses to capitalizing on your strengths – because you will grow the most in your areas of talents.
“Emphasize strengths, don’t fix weaknesses.” ~Timothy Ferriss

9. Give Up Being Perfect

Perfectionism is based on the false belief that if we do things perfectly, we can avoid failure.
It’s an unhealthy quest to make your work flawless in order to earn approval and acceptance from others.
Recognize the distinct difference between giving your best and trying to be perfect. Ask yourself if spending the extra time will make an equivalent difference to your success in the long run.
Always favor progress over perfection.
“Perfectionism is not a quest for the best. It is a pursuit of the worst in ourselves, the part that tells us that nothing we do will ever be good enough – that we should try again.” ~Julia Cameron

10. Give Up Playing Small

We are all afraid of failure, so we play small.
Playing a bigger game means following your own path. Listening to your intuition, doing what feels right compared to doing what everybody else tells you to do.
By playing small, you are not serving yourself nor anyone else. Instead play big, go out of your comfort zone.
Be prepared to be wrong and fail. Be prepared to feel fear.
“If you’re are paralyzed with fear it’s a good sign. It shows you do what you have to do.” ~Steven Pressfield

11. Give Up Your Dependency On Willpower

Regardless of willpower being limited or not – tasks done on autopilot require less thought, decision-making and energy.
To be successful, you have to act successful. Align your actions with your goals.
Create routines that automate taking the right actions. Be intentional about setting work, health, fitness and relationship habits.
Automate your behavior, one habit at a time.

12. Give Up Your Resistance To What Is

The present moment is out of your circle of influence. You can’t change what is happening right now.
Instead of wasting your energy complaining, being upset, annoyed or disappointed, learn to fully accept the present moment and your current thoughts and emotions.
What is more insane than resisting something that can’t be changed? Acceptance doesn’t not mean approval. It doesn’t mean you can’t take action to change an undesirable situation.
Instead, it means saying “yes” to life as it presents itself and then moving forward. Let go of your resistance. Say “yes” to how you feel, “yes” to what is happening right now. When you do, life will get a hell of a lot easier and will work for you, not against you.
“Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it.” ~Eckhart Tolle

13. Give up Trying to Be too Clever

Be different and innovate, but not for the sake of being different, but out of a quest to make things better.  Overcome your reluctance to make use of proven methods and good advice.
Don’t try to be clever in order to earn other people’s approval and enhance your self-worth. Act out of a desire for improvement and service and you will end up being clever in the process.

14. Give Up Waiting For Luck

Luck builds its foundation on preparation. To be successful, you don’t just have to be lucky to come across good opportunities, but you have to be ready and prepared to make use of them.
Be the right person in the right place at the right time through preparation. Lucky people act in a way that increases their change of good opportunities.
Be open-minded and optimistic. Prepare for your luck then go out and find it.
“Opportunity is where you find it ….not where it finds you ” ~Old Proverb

15. Give Up Other People’s Versions Of Success

Being successful and feeling successful are quite different things. Reaching other people’s version of success does not come with the joy and happiness that you were hoping for.
Success is a word that means many different things. Chasing other people’s dreams means betraying your own ones.
Define your version of success and give up all the others.
“There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way” ~Christopher Morley
