Appalachian Spring: David, The Start
Appalachian Spring is a coordinated effort between David and Adrian (my health coach). It is aimed at getting me in shape for a substantial hike on the Appalachian Trail next spring (2019). I will be doing entries on my progress, Adrian's post will be giving suggestions, feedback, encouragement, etc.

Random Powerful Thoughts
Sunday August 19, 2018 3:40 pm.
What if you had a spiritual device that was like a compass?; Instead of North, it points your next best spiritual decision to a heart based destination.
Note: A small beautiful pendulum may work. Like from the Crystal Garden in Timberlyne shopping center. http://www.the-crystal-garden.com/
What does the Random Powerful Thought want? For me to offer these devices to others at no cost. Start a commercial free web site and blog.

Films that Inspire
Ideas for films to watch in the basement
Starting point:
Jon Fitzgerald is the Founder of Cause Cinema, a website that guides audiences to the best in social impact movies. He is the author of Filmmaking for Change: Make Films that Transform the World. Visit his websites for blogs and podcasts on social impact cinema.
Life Animated — The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and other animated Disney movies help a young autistic man to develop reading, writing and communication skills. Oscar winner for Best Documentary, this moving tale of triumphs and setbacks further celebrates hope and the human condition.
Stand With Me — Only a 9-year-old would dream a lemonade stand could change the world. After seeing a photo of two enslaved boys in Nepal, Vivienne Harr is moved to help in the only way she knows how: by setting up her lemonade stand. With the goal of freeing 500 children from slavery, she sets up her stand every day, rain or shine. Vivienne is another accidental hero who wants justice.
Alive Inside- Social worker Dan Cohen, through his nonprofit organization Music and Memory, advocates for the use of music therapy for dementia patients. We literally see patients who have not spoken for some time smile and celebrate life again. Truly life changing, and an Audience Award winner at Sundance. Another mentor helping a patient learn to celebrate life.
